Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is that learning should be child led and rooted in the responsibility and trust of each of our young learners. Creative expression partnered with social and emotional development is the foundation of The Jean Taylor School philosophy. We believe that for successful teaching and learning to occur, trust, respect, responsibility, kindness, and empathy must be modeled, fostered and maintained.

The Jean Taylor School thrives on individualism, inclusion, and the respect of others. Our goal is to foster responsibility and instill empathy in the hearts and minds of our young learners. Our goal as educators is to use ourselves to model just what inclusion, diversity, equity, and intervention looks like.

Our Curriculum

Our toddler, early preschool, and pre-k curriculums are what creates a tailored experience for each child. It was designed specifically for The Jean Taylor School.

Our child-based curriculum is aligned with the Ohio Early Learning & Development Standards. With respect of individualism at its core and social/emotional development as it’s foundation, this curriculum sets out to establish trust and empathy. Our curriculum assists in promoting and nurturing the unique learning styles of each of our early learners.
